DS/USA offers live web/phone trainings and in-person trainings to your chapter free of charge:
PPT – Establishing a DS/USA Youth Sports Mentoring Program – Chapter program staff will be shown how to run and sustain a successful mentoring program, and will be provided with a ‘Tool Kit’ of basic forms required by the program (i.e. waivers, youth/adult applications, progress reports, etc.)
PPT/Manual – Mentor Training – During this session chapter program staff & potential mentors will learn the basics of mentoring; program staff will leave this training with the knowledge and tools to train other program mentors – please remember to invite any volunteers who will potentially serve as a mentor through your adaptive sports/recreation programming.
