| The Program Manager will manage the daily operations of both the winter and summer programs -- including safety, training, scheduling and supervision of ski instructors and volunteers, lesson coordination for both individuals and groups, and activities including Ski Camps, Special Olympics training and events, and events for disabled military service members. Summer programs include rafting, hiking, horseback riding, specialty camps (disabled veterans, etc.), and other outdoor recreation activities. The adaptive ski program operates daily at Telluride Ski Area during the winter. During the summer the activities are managed from our Telluride offices, but events may be scheduled in the local region. Full Time, year-round; salary DOE and includes a ski pass.
Ideal applicants will possess:
• A college degree in a related field and current knowledge of adaptive techniques and equipment.
• Three years supervisory experience in an adaptive ski program or related field.
• Minimum of a PSIA-RM Level 2 certification (adaptive or alpine)
• Demonstrated experience with on-snow teaching and training of instructors
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, strong safety standards, comfortable working with people with disabilities and a team player.
• Computer, office and administrative skills.
